Dear ladies and fellas
First things first: I am not an expert by any means on Asian countries, but I can sense sheer hypocrisy very well. That`s why I write this piece. Although the current events in Burma are quite complicated there are certain things, that make me feel unwell about the criticism of Aung San Suu Kyi and her goverment.
In my humble opinion it is quite ridiculous, when countries like Turkey or the Islamic Republic of Iran bash Burma for alleged human rights abuse or even a genocide. Countries like the Islamic Republic of Iran and Turkey have a long record of human rights abuse and oppresed minorities as well. So they are not in a position to criticize somebody who fought peacefully for so long for basic human rights as Aung San Suu Kyi. But again, let`s be as blunt as purple haze: Countries like the Islamic Republic of Iran and Turkey are engaged in human rights abuse and are keen on bashing non-muslim countries for alleged human rights abuse. Also countries like Turkey and the Islamic Republic love to use Muslim minorities as pawn sacrifice for their very own political gain. If they really would care about people like the Rohingya, they would take them in, bring them to safety on their own soil, in their own homes, like Israel did in 1948 with the expelled Jews from the Arab countries. But they don`t. Simply because they only care for their very own „Muslim brothers and sisters“, when they can use them as pawn sacrifice, as said earlier in this piece.
Also, I want to adress the useful idiots here, who are quick to condem and even demonize Aung San Suu Kyi and are even keen on stripping her from her Nobel proze for peace: Does anybody remember Yassir Arafat alias. Abu Amar?!? Well, unlike Aung San Suu Kyi, who has so far never called for physical violence against the Rohingya, Yassir Arafat actually engaged in terrorism against Jewish civilians after he won the Nobel prize. Notably in the first and second Intifada. But till this day nobody stripped Yassir Arafat from his Nobel prize.
