Confessions of a Vatanforoosh: Iran, Aniran and the flood

In the past weeks Iran experienced a severe flood and a humanitarian disaster,  in certain parts of Iran more devasting than the Iran-Iraq-war, due to incompetence and negligence of the regime of the Islamic Republic. And now many media-outlets, that are associated with the Iranian opposition* see the flood and the aftermath as some kind of threat to the regime.  I have to disagree with that.

As long as there are enough stupid Iranians, who see Egrisi as much of an integral part of Iran as Khorasan, the regime will not have to fear any drought or flood that might comes. As long as there is a noticable amount of Iranians, that see the people of the Caucasus as  „Aniran“ and descendants of „Zahak“ and the Caucasus as Iranian soil, the regime will stay in place. Especially since the regime does not care, if they have any democratic or moral legitimacy to rule upon Iran, all the regime cares for is to have a tool, with which they can promote and export their ideology of the „Islamic Revolution“, read: Islamic terrorism.

Due this fact, the flood can have a beneficial factor for the regime, since the voice of the regime, Javad Zarif, now is relentlessly quacking to lift the sanctions to aid the flood-victims, despite the fact, that the International Committee of the Red Cross assured, that the aid for the flood-victims is not affected by the sanctions at all. Still, the regime plays here the victim-card to influence gullible people for their cause, because the sanctions, especially those sanctions that target the IRGC, are an actual threat for the regime.

So here is what my solution in this mess would be: More sanctions for the regime of the Islamic Republic and said sanctions should primarily affect the IRGC and  make the Treaty of Golestan look like a gift from the heavens.

«Airbnb» und «besetzte Gebiete»

Nach dem «Airbnb» aus Angst vor einer Prozesswelle zurückgerudert ist und seinen Boykott gegenüber jüdischem Eigentum aufgegeben hat, muss ich sagen: Too little too late! Diese Heuchelei ist lächerlich! In den von Russland besetzten Gebieten Georgiens und der Ukraine gab es für „Airbnb“ nie Probleme. Bis heute kann man ohne Probleme, über «Airbnb» Wohnraum in Tskhinvali und Suchumi mieten, obwohl dieses Gebiet völkerrechtswidrig von Russland besetzt ist, das eine Politik der «Borderization» betreibt, in dem es die Grenze immer weiter gen Süden verschiebt. Während die georgische Bevölkerung, sowohl aus dem Tskhinvali-Gebiet, wie auch aus Abchasien vertrieben wurde und Georgien darum nun 300 000 Binnenflüchtlinge hat, fast 10% der Gesamtbevölkerung. In der Kreml-Proxy Abchasien hat man dieser Tage sogar die Todesstrafe wieder eingeführt! Das macht Abchasien, neben Belarus, zu einem Unikum im post-sowjetischen Raum, denn in allen anderen post-sowjetischen Gebieten, wurde die Todesstrafe entweder abgeschafft oder mit einem Moratorium belegt. So ähnlich funktioniert es auch für das, nur von der Türkei anerkannte Gebilde, namens «Nord-Zypern», aus dem die hellenische Bevölkerung vertrieben wurde und wo nun Türken vom Festland leben. Auch Immobilien in «Nord-Zypern» kann man per «Airbnb» ohne Probleme, ohne internationalen Aufschrei mieten. Danach kräht kein Hahn.

Nur wenn es darum geht, dass Juden ihr Eigentum in umstrittenem Gebiet vermieten, wird es zum Politikum und es wird zum Boykott aufgerufen, dem sich «Airbnb, dummerweise, für kurze Zeit anschloss und sich nun, nur aus Angst vor Prozessen in den USA, lauwarm distanziert hat, um noch vollmundig damit zu hausieren, dass die Gewinne aus den Vermietungen in Judäa und Samaria humanitären Organisationen zu Gute kommen sollen. Es ist eben immer zu leicht, in dieser Welt, sein Mütchen am Juden zu kühlen, während man sich scheut, dem KGB-Zwerg im Kreml zu zürnen. Diese bizarren Boykottversuche von Firmen und Organisationen, wie «Airbnb» zeugen letztlich nur von einem tiefergehenden Problem, nämlich der Tatsache, dass viele Nicht-Juden unbewusst Geisel ihrer ureigenen, antisemitischen Ressentiments sind, die dann an die Oberfläche treten, wenn diese Leute mit etwas entfernt Jüdischem in Kontakt kommen.  So lange diese Nicht-Juden sich nicht ihren ureigenen antisemitischen Ressentiments stellen werden, werden wir Juden uns weiterhin bizarre Boykottversuche und Delegitimierungen des Judenstaates entgegentreten müssen, wie sie heute zum Beispiel von Seiten fehlgeleiteter Labour-Mitglieder kommen, die ernsthaft glauben, dass wir Juden hinter der Revolution vom Maidan und dem Islamischen Staat stecken würden. Das bedeutet, dass man die Ideologie des Antisemitismus bekämpfen muss, egal in welchem Gewand sich zeitgenössischer Antisemitismus auch immer präsentiert.
